You are Seen | Women’s Contemporary Art Practices in Southeast Asia from the Personal Collection of Krystina Lyon

Art historian and collector Krystina Lyon’s new publication spotlighting 35 women artists from Southeast Asia, a group whose practices are reshaping the region’s cultural and aesthetic landscape. More than a survey, the book offers a thoughtful meditation on the evolving dynamics of visibility versus recognition—who gets seen, who is supported, and ultimately, who is remembered. Through Lyon’s deeply personal lens as a researcher and collector, the project brings forward diverse voices spanning emerging, mid-career, and established practitioners, illuminating the urgency, experimentation, and intergenerational dialogue coursing through contemporary women’s art today.

Copies of the You Are Seen book are available for purchase for in-person collection at our gallery in Gillman Barracks, Singapore
