The Lie of the Land
FOST Gallery is pleased to present The Lie of the Land, a group exhibition featuring works by six Singaporean artists.
To understand the lie of the land, we often need to conduct surveys and make assessments, both physically and metaphysically. This group exhibition examines Singapore’s built environment and the land which it is constructed upon through video (Kray Chen), sound installation (Zulkifle Mahmod), sculpture (Ong Si Hui), photography (Donna Ong, Sim Chi Yin), and painting (Ian Woo).
As Singapore celebrates her 56th year of independence in the midst of a pandemic, we remember what this land holds for us.
