“The Art of the Everyday” and “The Spaces between Contemporary Art, Craft and Design: A Talk”

In collaboration with the second edition of FIND – Design Fair Asia, Singapore Art Gallery
Weekend 2023 is presenting a project titled “The Art of the Everyday”, a display of
contemporary art from AGAS galleries. The multi-textural visual tapestry, comprising both
wall-bound and sculptural works, dovetails with the immersive experience of FIND, which
aims to reimagine the way we perceive our living spaces. The showcase represents examples
of art that may be incorporated into the aesthetics of innovative design found in the fair,
further expanding the realm of possibilities for environments that go beyond functionality, of
spaces where art and design coalesce in dynamic synergy.

Participating galleries include:
Aestheletic Fine Art, Art Porters, artcommune gallery, Bol Gallery, Gajah Gallery, Gallery 1819,
Intersections Gallery, Mizuma Gallery, Prestige Art Gallery, and Yeo Workshop.

AGAS will also be holding a panel discussion, “The Spaces between Contemporary Art,
Craft and Design: A Talk” on 23 Sept., from 3 to 4 pm, at the fair. Speakers include artists
Hazel Lim, Shayne Phua and Kayleigh Goh, and gallerist Richard Koh. The talk explores the
cross-influences impacting the creative landscape today, where the boundaries between the
language of fine art, the materials and processes of craft, and the functionality of design are
increasingly blurred.

FIND – Design Fair Asia presents the latest in contemporary design, showcasing innovative
and inspiring products, solutions, content, and features. This year, from 21 to 23 September,
FIND – Design Fair Asia returns to the iconic Marina Bay Sands, Sands Expo and Convention
Centre, Level 1, Halls A, B, and C.
