Taiki Sakpisit: 13 Nightmares

ShanghART Singapore presents 13 Nightmares by Taiki Sakpisit in his first solo exhibition with the gallery. The exhibition unfolds as a sequence of encounters suspended between dream and reality, as the artist transforms the gallery into a labyrinth of moving images, photographs, sound, and spectral presences. Drawing upon personal memories, collective fears, and cultural mythologies, the works evoke a state of psychological uncertainty haunted by historical trauma and contemporary anxieties.

Like a nightmare from which one cannot fully awake, Sakpisit constructs an oneiric landscape in which memory, desire, violence, and loss circulate in recurring loops. Images emerge and dissolve like fragments of half-remembered dreams, while sound drifts through the space as an unseen force, guiding viewers into a maelstrom of dread, longing, and contemplation.
