About

Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore), celebrates the 10th anniversary of NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore (NTU CCA Singapore). This national research center, focused on exhibitions, residencies, research, and academic education, has become a symbol of creativity and critical thinking in Singapore’s contemporary art scene.

To mark a decade of nurturing innovation and interdisciplinary exploration, NTU CCA Singapore presents a series of collaborative performances by Artist-in-Residence alumni and previous contributors in sound, performance, and new technologies. Curated by Dr. Anna Lovecchio and Magdalena Magiera, these artists consistently challenge norms, aligning with the Center’s mission of supporting experimental artistic expression. These performances transform the Residencies Studios into a dynamic stage for creative connections, bridging diverse artistic practices.

Over the years, the Center’s residency program has nurtured over 210 Artists-, Curators-, and Researchers-in-Residence, including 60 Singaporean artists. Many of their projects have gained international recognition at exhibitions, biennials, and festivals. NTU CCA Singapore continues to engage artists, curators, and critical thinkers through its public resources, programs, and conferences. Additionally, it has welcomed 56 Young Professional Trainees for six to eight months, contributing to arts sector development. In 2018, the Center, in partnership with NTU ADM, introduced the groundbreaking Master of Arts program in Museum Studies and Curatorial Practices for the region.
