Ex libris: Stamp Carving with Drool Stamps

Join stamp carver Rachel Ma – also known as droolstamps – to create your very own bookplate rubber stamp! A bookplate, or ex libris, was used decorate and label a book with its owner’s name in the 15th century.

What you will learn in this workshop:
• Introduction to the tools that will be used
• Tracing of design and transferring to stamp
• Basic stamp-carving techniques
• How to ink and stamp your rubber stamp

This workshop is suitable for beginners. All tools and materials are provided. At the end of the workshop, you will take home 1-2 bookplate rubber stamps.

Recommended for ages 7 and above. Adult supervision advised.
