A Project of Art in the Night Race. The new life of the floodlights.
A collective Upcycled Art Exhibition curated by Nadia Stefanel with 10 artists based in Singapore at The Arts House. From the urgency of pondering on environmental sustainability they have given a new life to the floodlights that illuminated the Formula 1 Night Race.
This year with a mission to accelerate sustainable human progress, DZ Engineering SRL, a subsidiary of Dino Zoli Group, provides the lighting for the Formula 1 Night Race with a massive replacement of their floodlights, using sustainable LED lights for the upcoming 2023 Singapore Grand Prix.
Climate change needs Art’s serious consideration as well.
The Italian institution wants to contribute positively to the ethics of the Lion City by upcycling the floodlights to give them a new life through 10 alented artists (Jeyasree Chandrakumaran, Daniel Chong, Chok Si Xuan, Victoria Hertel, Ashley Hi, Elena Lo Giudice, Kumari Nahappan, Anuska Sakar, Iman Sengupta and Yeo Ker Siang). The exhibition will explore the influence of the eco-conscious philosophy on artists who combine a fresh aesthetic sensibility with a constructive approach to display a new piece of art.
The project stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, with great support and being promoted by Embassy of Italy, EuroCham and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore. Furthermore, it has received an invaluable contribution from LASALLE College of the Arts – UAS as well as Cultural Partners such as Art Galleries Association Singapore (AGAS) and ART OUTREACH.
