Artist Profile
Jay Ho is a painter based in Singapore. He graduated with a Diploma with Distinction in Fine Arts from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. He focuses upon the scale of life - addressing observable natural phenomena and touching upon concepts of freedom and the unknown. Adopting a process-based approach with unorthodox materials such as enamel paint and epoxy resin, his works revolve around conditions of chance, counterbalance, contingency and control. His exhibitions include a solo, Catalyst, at Chan + Hori Contemporary (2019) and group shows such as Wind Chimes at Untitled Space, Shanghai, China and Conversations on Lack and Excess at Gajah Gallery, Yogyakarta.
