Artist Profile
Shen Xudong, (Adam Sim), 1965, is the founder of Chinatown Art Hub Pte. Ltd. Singapore. Alongside his family, he established Sims Galleria, a platform dedicated to spreading music, fine art, and culture, garnering widespread public appreciation. Hailing from a lineage rooted in Southeast Asian Peranakan heritage, Shen was born into a scholarly household in Swatow, China. Influenced profoundly by his family, he developed a passion for Chinese calligraphy and painting. Under the tutelage of renowned painters from a young age, he further honed his skills at the China Academy of Art. His artworks have been showcased and auctioned at art exhibitions and auction houses locally and across Asia, and have gained popularity and recognition among collectors from Southeast Asia and Europe. He is active in the art communities of Singapore, some of his works were donated as a token to local and international cultural exchange events.
He is a director of the Chinese Painters Association, the Artists Association, the Calligraphers Association, the director of Shantou Overseas Friendship Association, and a member of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI).
