AGAS Welcomes New Executive Committee

Singapore, 15 July, 2023 - The Art Galleries Association Singapore (AGAS) is delighted to introduce its newly elected executive committee for the 2023-2025 terms. Under the leadership of President Audrey Yeo (Yeo Workshop), alongside Vice-President Marie-Pierre Mol (Intersections Gallery), Treasurer Ho Souping (artcommune gallery),  Secretary Zak Lo (GALLERY 1819), AGAS is poised to enhance visibility and support for galleries and affiliate art businesses, which play a vital role in the thriving art ecosystem.

AGAS will announce upcoming events  in the next few months that promote the growth and sustainability of the art community including island-wide engagement activities, educational programmes and networking receptions. 

President Audrey Yeo, Yeo Workshop expresses her enthusiasm for these events, stating that

"AGAS holds immense potential in enhancing visibility for galleries and other affiliate art businesses that form the backbone of the art ecosystem. They are the tireless heroes driving the art scene forward. By building this visibility, AGAS enables us to fulfil our crucial role in supporting artists and fostering creativity in Singapore. We eagerly anticipate engaging in events that facilitate collective contributions towards the sustainability and vitality of the arts."

Marie-Pierre Mol, Intersections  representing  the Vice President, highlights AGAS's commitment to internationalisation and networking with international gallery associations.

AGAS plans to work more closely with key public and private stakeholders to grow and strengthen networks. AGAS Treasurer, Ho Souping, artcommune Gallery, emphasises the value of a unified voice and direct government access that AGAS provides, stating that

AGAS holds monthly bi-meetings to provide industry updates and represent the needs of galleries and affiliate members. Secretary Zak Lo, GALLERY1819,  emphasises AGAS's goal of expanding the collector base and developing the capabilities of professionals and experts within the art ecosystem.
