Time is a series that involves the recording of a location to show the passing of time in a montage style. There is a sense of intimate intricacy to how time moves, and how people, albeit in a different time, are actually closer to one another and traveling in the same shared space. Clang has always been intrigued by the constant changes in his urban environment. Every subtle shift affects his thoughts and feelings, hence, his images respond acutely as a poetic reflection of himself in these environments. Working on this series, Clang explored how time moves in this seemingly static urban space. People become the moving energy flowing through this space, marking the changes, and forming the time. The images also explore his interest with the possibility of multiple time dimensions in this universe, where we may have another ‘life’ that exists on a different path, a minute before or after the one we’re living now; oftentimes when the time paths collide, a sense of déjà vu is experienced.
