Roots & Resonance 2026: Through Brush and Memory

As a cultural showcase conceived by a group of Singaporeans in support of Singapore artists, this non-selling exhibition presents a curated selection of works depicting scenes of Singapore through the perspectives of five artists: Goh Beng Kwan, Ong Kim Seng, Tan Choh Tee, Tay Bak Koi, and Tung Yue Nang. Each artist represents a different period in Singapore’s post-independence artistic development, reflecting the nation’s evolving landscapes, communities, and cultural identity.

Beyond commemorating Singapore’s visual history, the exhibition highlights an important conversation around corporate support for the arts. While corporate sponsorship is commonly directed toward social and community initiatives, the arts remain an underexplored area of support. This exhibition seeks to introduce and encourage the idea that supporting, sustaining, and celebrating local artists and their artistic heritage can also be a meaningful form of corporate social responsibility.

This presentation is made possible with the support of Financial Alliance Corp and Art Nexus (聚艺阁) Collection.
