Artist Profile
Dylan Chan (b. 1997, Singapore) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice moves fluidly between image-making, installation, and painting.
A graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts (BFA Hons, 2022), he has received the Winston Oh (Practice) Award (2018, 2022) and nominations for the Takifuji Art Award (2022) and the Sovereign Art Prize (2024). His work was shortlisted for the UOB Art Prize 2025, and he is the recipient of the Objectifs Curator Open Call 2025.
Chan’s work explores the intersections of queerness, identity, and materiality, often investigating how the body relates to space and how objects shape sensory and emotional experience. Through abstract and figurative forms, his works navigate the thresholds of intimacy and visibility, reflecting the unseen dynamics between private and shared spaces. Chan lives and works in Singapore.
