The Flood: Artist Walkthrough by Quan Lim
Cuturi Gallery unveils The Flood, a solo exhibition by Singaporean artist Quan Lim (b. 1996). Marking his first collaboration with the gallery, Lim delves into the primal tension between self-preservation and collective existence, drawing inspiration from historical and mythological narratives of catastrophe – from Géricault’s Raft of the Medusa to ancient origin flood myths that speak of destruction, reckoning, and rebirth. A rising talent, Lim was awarded first place in the 32nd UOB Painting of the Year as an Emerging Artist.
We warmly invite you to an artist walkthrough with Quan Lim from 3 – 4 pm, followed by the opening reception from 4-7 pm on August 16.
