Manjeet Shergill – EYETOUCH
Singapore born Sikh artist Manjeet Shergill returns from her adopted home, Canada, to present a collection of original paintings. Manjeet continues to explore the theme of womanhood, home, psychology and modernism while fine tuning her craft of putting lines and colours on canvas and paper. Her painting are a reflection of her Singaporean background and her reflection to the Singaporean environment. She focuses on colours and lines to create what she considers a Singaporean quality, essentially flat and lacking the depth of culture.
The solo exhibition titled – EYETOUCH – will be presented at Galeria Artitude at Dempsey Road from 23 – 26 March 2023 . The show will showcase 18 paintings including portraits, figures, florals and abstracts.
Proceeds from this exhibition will help the fundraising efforts of NUS and the Central Sikh Gurdwara Board for their Visiting Professorship in Sikh Studies at NUS.
