Artist Profile


Marc Nair (b. 1981) is a poet and photographer from Singapore.
He is a recipient of the 2016 Young Artist Award.
He is a regular participant at local literary events such as the Singapore Writers Festival
Marc has published six solo volumes of poetry and has released another three books in collaboration with installation, visual and graphic artists.
In 2017, he exhibited Intersection, a poetry + art project with visual artist Nicola Anthony. The body of work was exhibited in Singapore at Intersections Gallery and in Yangon at Myanm/art in 2018.
In 2018, Marc also collaborated with 10 graphic artists who illustrated his poem, ‘Auguries of Modern Innocence.’ The work was published as a book and exhibited at the Arts House as part of the Buysinglit Festival in March 2018.
Slide & Tongue which took place at intersections gallery in 2018 was first solo exhibition.
Marc’s was commissioned by the Singapore Tourism Board to create a collaborative series with a Myanmar artist. Titled “Tempo (rary), this series was exhibited in Yangon part of the art component of the Singapore Festival 2020, which was curated by Intersections.
Sightlines, an exhibition created in collaboration with Tsen Waye Tay took place at the Alliance Francaise’s Gallery in 2020 with the support of Intersections.
