About Artwork

A contemporary artist and Nihonga (Japanese-style) painter, Kotaro Fukui plays with the dynamic and the static—the chaotic explosion of lines and ink splashes and the stylish elegance in the strokes of his motifs, all the while retaining his commitment to the using of traditional techniques, tools, and themes. Created exclusively for Singapore, this painting of the Singapore orchid showcases Kotaro Fukui’s style quintessentially.
