Using an original mixed media technique that combines collage and washi, Japanese handmade paper, as well as watercolors, Asuka Irie’s work, Tsukimi 月見  , beautifully honors the festival that celebrates the autumn moon.

Artist Profile

Asuka Irie was born in 1980 and completed her master's degree in printmaking at the Tama Art University Graduate School of Fine Arts in 2004. She is known for her mystical style that blends techniques from copperplate printmaking and watercolor, merging elements of the present and the past.Her works are highly acclaimed in both France and Japan.
